Design process for the Microsoft.com website that provides Search API resources to developers
In 2020, I designed a new microsite for Bing Search APIs on Microsoft.com.
The Search APIs are a development resource that provides enhanced search capabilities to Microsoft's partners. In conjunction with the launch of Bing for Commerce (MBC) in January 2020, the APIs needed to be migrated from Azure's site domain to the Microsoft.com main site to improve operational logistics for MBC.
I collaborated with the marketing dev team to lead this design effort and provide support for implementation. The process involved updating previous content, aligning it with current patterns from Microsoft Web Framework (MWF), and then providing design enhancements.
The new site was successfully launched in March 2020 and continues to be updated.
We had a challenging timeline and budget for design and development so I created a template based upon MWF modules to use throughout the site, making it easy to develop and scale.
I created a set of logos to represent each API on the landing page.
I reproduced interactive demos as carousel images to provide a stop-gap solution for implementation while new interactive demos are developed.
